CHILDREN'S DENTISTRY
At Brady Dental Care, we enjoy treating generations of families—this includes new generations of children each year. Over the years, we have seen our patients who started with us when they were young become parents themselves. And now, some of them are grandparents and bringing their grandchildren to our practice!
We welcome children of all ages, and we love continuing the long-term relationships with kids and their families.
We work our hardest to find appointment times for you and your children at the same time on the same day so that you can be in and out in as little time as possible.
Your Child’s First Visit
Most children begin visiting our dental office around one year of age. By this age, they have some understanding and are able to better communicate, which helps relieve anxiety, instill healthy habits, and build a trusting relationship between dentist and patient. Our team works hard to make sure children feel comfortable and safe.
During your child’s initial visit, one of our dentists will examine his or her teeth carefully to make sure they are coming in correctly. During this visit, our dentists welcome any questions that you may have about children’s dentistry, including tips to use at home to help instill good brushing and flossing habits in your child. Dr. Corbin Brady, as well as our staff, are popular with our young patients because they are able to make dental visits fun and communicate with them in an age-appropriate fashion.
We do recommend assisting young children with their brushing and flossing to ensure they’re doing it correctly and to prevent swallowing toothpaste.
Evolving Dentistry for Growing Children
As your child grows with us, we will offer additional preventive and general services as needed.
Some of our children’s dental services and products include:
-
Regular teeth cleanings
-
Periodic digital x-rays
-
Dental sealants to help prevent cavities
-
Fluoride treatments for stronger teeth
-
Tooth-colored fillings
-
Mouthguards for sports
-
Other specific services based on your child’s needs
Our dentists always pay careful attention to your child’s tooth development during the early years, too. This includes assessing the way their teeth are coming in and lining up. In some cases, our dentists may recommend orthodontics if teeth and bite are not in line.
Efficiency in Scheduling
With most of us being parents in our office, we understand the plight of most moms, dads, and caretakers when trying to schedule multiple appointments for your family. It can be overwhelming! We work our hardest to find appointment times for you and your children at the same time on the same day so that you can be in and out in as little time as possible.
